Read at least one Pern book, please! If you don't know the storyline, than you can't keep up! Especially important for this time period are Dragonsdawn, Chronicles of Pern: First Fall, and any book taking place in the Southern Continent.

You cannot be a character from a Pern book, you can't even be related to one or use their names. However, since this is the First Pass, most names can be similar to Terran (Earth) names.

- 3 - Do not make up weyrs or holds for your character to come from. Cotholds may have different names and make those up as you see fit. Eventually a Hold and maybe Craft Halls will be constructed for Shadow Ridge. In the mean time, the Weyrs are: Telgar, High Reaches, Fort, Ista, Igen, and Shadowridge. You MAY NOT write about BENDEN or RUATHA, nor be from those places.

Some situations may be of a NC-17 nature, so be sure you're old enough to handle it. Please, no one under 15.

Never use anyone else's characters without permission. Ask first. Explain what you wanna do with them. Any violations of this rule will result in a warning. Report violations to Drow_Chyld@yahoo.com

Just because you are male or female doesn't mean your character has to be of the same gender as you. Same goes for sexuality, just because your straight doesnt mean you have to play a heterosexual person vice versa.

Only Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue, and Green dragons exist. Ruth was a major exception and a dragon of a color other than those 5 aforementioned can never happen again .

Golds are Impressed ONLY by Heterosexual females.
Bronzes are Impressed ONLY by Heterosexual males.
Browns are Mostly Hetero and masculine Bi-sexual Men. Only rarely masculine homosexual or bi-sexual woman.**
Blues are impressed by masculine bisexual and homosexual males, and bisexual or homosexual females.
Greens are impressed by feminine homosexual and bisexual male as well as all females.

Also, anyone between the ages of 12 and 22 Turns can Impress. Gold candidates somewhere between 16-24. People can also impress from the stands. E-mail the BoD if you want that to happen.

Firelizards are allowed, but please email the BOD if you want more that four. Candidates may only have one firelizard (no other types of pets). There will only be five gold firelizards in the Weyr at anyone time. You must email the BOD first if you want a gold. Bronzes are more common, but try to keep it to a dull roar people. All other colors are up for grabs.

Whers are rare! Very very rare and you need a good sheet and explanation of why you have one. Dragonriders may not have watch whers. Dragonriders may only own firelizards as pets.

Golds mate once per turn (we will only be having two PC Clutches a Year. Each April and November). They clutch less during intervals than they do passes. Greens mate whenever they so choose, usually about 4 times a turn. They can never ever clutch.

Consider adopting any of the personas already available instead of making your own.

There are certain posts that need to be regulated. For instance, a green or gold flight, the death of a character, or if you have a question about an idea for a thread. Remember, it is your character and we will not interfere, but we can't have 2 wingleaders die without replacements, or 2 flights in one day. Only dragon's names end in th. Human and Firelizard names can end in anything but th. Only Dragonriders can have honorifics (ex: F'lar).

If you are inactive for several months and fail to respond to any rollcalls or personal emails then the BoD reserves the right to unsubscribe you from the lists. All of your personas will be killed off, or simply deleted from the site (unless you have given us permission to do otherwise) except those which you adopted from the club. Those will be returned to their former state.
